In order to meet the recommendation of the 6th meeting of the National Marshlands Management Committee as a World Heritage Property, the meeting was held with the representatives of the Ministry of Oil for two days(11 and 12 April 2017).
Since establishment of the center in 2004, the Center for the Restoration of the Marshlands and Wetlands has been developing the marshes and rehabilitating them after the drying over the past years.

He instructed to intensify the mechanical and engineering effort to deal with the flood in (Abu Khasaf) at (Bani Hashem) district to provide drinking water for the people of the area.
The Minister of Water Resources Dr.Hassan Al-Janabi has an expanded meeting with the local government of Dhi-Qar Governorate and the directorates affiliated with the Ministry to discuss the reality of irrigation and evaluate the value of water shares and the levels of water entering the marshes for their continuity and sustainable life.
China has designated seven wetlands as Wetlands of International Importance. It now boasts 64 such “Ramsar Sites” which together cover over 7.3 million hectares (73,000 square kilometres).
Tianjin Beidagang Wetlands (Site no. 2425 on the List of Wetlands of International Importance) lies in a transitional area of inland and coastal wetlands where the Duliujian River meets Bohai Bay. Located just to the south of the city of Tianjin, the site provides exceptional habitat for waterbirds, and its situation on the East Asian – Australasian Flyway migration route results in annual total numbers regularly exceeding 400,000.
